Lindsay M. Webb has proudly served as Lucas County Treasurer since 2018. With responsibility for collecting nearly $650 million in property taxes and managing a $550 million public investment portfolio, she has actively safeguarded the county's financial future.
Under her stewardship, Lucas County's core investment portfolio grew from $240 million in 2018 to $450 million today, thanks to her strategic insight, transparency, and commitment to public service. She is also the first Treasurer in the county to establish a Chief Investment Officer position, ensuring even greater accountability and excellence in local government.
Economic opportunity
Lindsay increased the county's investment in the Toledo Lucas County Port Authority's bond fund from $2 million to $7 million, directly supporting local job creation and economic development.
Her initiatives have drawn national attention: she benchmarked county investments against Ohio's largest counties and streamlined reporting for greater transparency.
Community
Lindsay combines hands-on experience with an unwavering passion for community improvement. During her decade as a Toledo City Councilwoman, she was instrumental in advocating for safer neighborhoods, stronger public-private partnerships, and economic growth.
As Chair of the Lucas County Land Bank, she led transformative projects like the demolition of the blighted Rosemary Apartments and Elm St. Warehouse, revitalizing communities and providing hope for local families.
Background
Lindsay's expertise is grounded in a Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, strengthened by years of experience as a professor, organizer, and advocate for working families.
